Gopal Datt is an Indian actor and writer who works in youtube films and has also been part of a few Bollywood films. His career started as a theater artist. In 1999 he got first starring role in MujheKuchKehna Hai. He has appeared in the blockbuster movie ‘Tere Naam’ as well as the National Award-winning film ‘Filmistaan.’
Gopal Datt was born in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. He did his high school in Nainital. He then graduated in Chemistry, and after that, he went to NSD (National School of Drama) Delhi and passed out in 1999. He did many stage dramas like Shakespearean Italian to Parsi. B.V .Karanth is his favoritetheater director.
After finishing at NSD, Gopal Dutt moved to Bombay. There he got first break in 2001 in MujheKuchKehna Hai. After that, he got roles in Tere Naam and 2014 in Samrat & Co by Kaushik Ghatak. He played the role of Jawaad in the National award-winning film ‘Filmistaan.’
When he came to Mumbai, after NSD, he knew that things would be challenging, and so they were, till he got his break in a film. He started scripting for different theatre houses and also started doing voice-overs.
He was a Jury in a film festival. Datt has worked in many web series and has been actively working with the TVF for a very long time. He was seen in a significant role in ‘Arre’s Official Chukyagiri’ and ‘Badman’ on Voot. He is famous for his adult comedy roles in AIB videos.
He is an outstanding and talented actor of the generation. In every series, his role is amazingly done, and he is so much into character that viewers cannot differentiate the reel and real for a few minutes.
He tried in films and did some fantastic films though Gopal Datt Movies were not able to make that big impact on screen , but he is best known for his work in youtube films and characters.
