Bhavishya Badri Temple is a famous and ancient temple of Hindus. Bhavishya Badri Temple is located 17 km away from Subhai village in the Joshimath village of Uttarakhand, India. This temple is situated at an altitude of 2,744 meters above sea level. Bhavishya Badri Temple is situated amidst dense forests and can only be reached by trekking.
Dhauli is situated on the banks of the Ganges River, an ancient pilgrimage route to the Kailash and Mansarovar mountains. The Bhavishya Mandir is one of the Panch Badri (Badrinath, Yogdhya Badri, Adi Badri, and Vriddha Badri) and Sapta Badri pilgrimages. It is believed that these temples were built by Adi Shankaracharya. Adi Shankaracharya is credited with the construction of many temples in the Uttarakhand region.
The purpose of the construction of these temples by Adi Shankaracharya was to promote Hinduism in every remote part of the country. There is a rock near the temple here. If one looks carefully at this rock, half the figure of God is visible. Here Lord Badri is seated in the form of an idol of Shaligram. According to legend, at the end of Kaliyuga, when the mountains of Nar and Narayan would block the path of Badrinath and the holy temple would become inaccessible.
Then Lord Badrinath will appear in this Bhavishya Badri temple. The Badrinath temple will be the site of worship. Presently, Bhavishya Badri has an image of Narasimha, a lion-faced avatar and one of the ten avatars of Vishnu. Bhavishya Badri Temple is about 11 km from Joshimath by car to Saldhar. After that, one has to walk a distance of 6 km to reach the temple.
