In the Chamoli district, GoluDevta is known as ‘Goreel Devta.’ It is a traditional belief that a goat’s head is offered as ‘Bali’ to GoluDevta along with milk, curd, ghee, halwa-poori, and pakaudi in the form of ‘Prasad.’ GoluDevta is offered white clothes, white ‘Pagaris’ and white ‘shawl’ as offerings.
