This Mindrolling Monastery is one of the 6 famous Mindrolling Monasteries in the world. This monastery is one of the four major schools of the Tibetan sect, also known as Nigma. The other three schools of the Tibetan sect are called Shakya, Kazyu, and Geluk, respectively. Buddha Temple The 103 feet statue of Lord Buddha in Dehradun is the center of major attraction.
Along with the idol of Lord Buddha, the idol of Guru Padmasambhava Ji is also installed. About 500 Buddhist lamas receive initiation in this Buddha temple. This Buddha temple is a five-storeyed temple. On the first 3 floors, paintings related to the life of Lord Buddha and art related to Tibetan religion have been done. These paintings have been made by 50 artists together.
