Known for his extraordinary clicks, Bhumesh Bharti is an established and well-known photographer in Uttarakhand. It all started when he participated in a painting competition during his schooling. He won that painting competition and got rewarded with a camera. That is when he began his photography passion.
Bhumesh completed his schooling at K V Dehradun and later did his graduation from DAV Dehradun. He applied for arts as his graduation subject. He was always interested in doing photography. Therefore, he decided to pursue his career in photography. He started clicking pictures with the camera that he had gotten as a reward. At the initial stage, he started his career at Bharat Gyan Vigyan Samiti in Delhi. At Vigyan Samiti, he got his first assignment in photography. Later Bhumesh got a chance to present his photography skill in a shoot about social life and its various aspects. And that is when he became a professional photographer.
Talking about his own self Bhumesh says that he has been a self-taught photographer. He also says he started doing photography when at a very young age. He had been in just class 9. That is very motivating for everyone. Bhumesh has also worked as a journalist in a few magazines and newspapers. He used to write articles for them and click pictures on his own for those articles as well. Later he decided to be a full-time photographer leaving writing. He was more into photography than writing articles. Thus, he took this decision. According to him, many words are equal to clicking a single picture. A picture describes the entire story of a person or a situation. Bhumesh bharti photography helped him achive greater success then doing an editor job.
After completing his graduation, he got an opportunity to work with National Literacy Mission along with Bharat Gyan Samiti in Delhi. He says that he loves his job. He adds that it allows him to travel to different villages and new places in the country. That helps him learn new things and have new experiences. He has started a group named ‘Colored Leaf Photography’ to promote and encourage photography as a career amongst the youth. Furthermore, he says he wants to do something different and new in the field of photography.
