Deependra Singh Negi is an Indian professional footballer currently playing as a midfielder for Hyderabad FC. He has also been appointed as the Captian of the India U17 National.

Deependra was born on 20 November 1998 in the land of gods, Uttarakhand. His height is about 5 feet and 9 inches. A strong, fair-complexioned guy who had an extremely bright future as a footballer. He belongs to the traditional Hindu culture.
Born in Uttarakhand, he started his career with the AIEF Elite Academy before attending the trials with various Spanish Clubs in Spain. He had joined many clubs there, like Gimanstic de Tarragona in the year 2017.
In September 2016, at the age of 17, it was announced that he had signed with CF Reus of the Segunda Division. Here, he joined the club named ‘Club de Futbol Reus Deportiu’, better known as just Reus, and then participated in the Spanish Segunda Division, the second tier of the football pyramid in Spain. They had played all their matches in the autonomous region of Reus, Catalonia, in the 4,700 seaters Estadi Municipal. Earlier, he joined the Catalonians U19 team for his practice sessions, where he practiced with his dedication and full efforts. After defender Avneet Bharti who had been directed to a European country earlier, Negi became the second Indian youngster to move to Spain to earn a contract.
Negi was also selected to play for the Kerala Blasters, an extremely well-known Indian Super League team in the year 2017. His contract was for almost three years, which started on 9 December 2017 and ended on 30 May 2020. He made his professional debut against Delhi Dynamos in the 2017-2018 Indian Super League. He did not start the match from the beginning, played from the mid, and continued till the end until they won by 2-1.
He became the apple of everyone’s eye as he scored a goal the next minute he entered the field. This is how he became the second-youngest footballer in the league to score a goal.
This young Uttarakhand Footballer has represented India under-17 and under-20 internationally as well. He was also the former India under-17 national team captain. He also represented Nepal in the SAFF championship, where the Indian team was defeated with a 1-0 score at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu.
